Deccan Development Co. | Adaptive - Reuse | Office

During the COVID era, as a part of the mass exodus of office building tenants, we decided to convert this 1930’s house into our office space. Maintaining the original roof, we reinforced it to ensure structural soundness, and built a cathedral ceiling for maximum thermal comfort. This adaptive reuse project utilizes the existing structural integrity of the home and simply repurposes it for use as an office space. Upon entry you can see the contrast of modern and historic, the crisp white walls meeting the 90+ year old wooden roofing system. Partition walls separate the office spaces and a glass bowl conference concept allow for the central meeting area to stand out. This project brings forth a comfortability into the office space allowing our company to maximize productivity in an inviting and flexible working space. The seating areas, private working spaces, conference room, and coffee lounge allow our employees to feel “at home” in their workspace.
